Holiday blog week 4 summer 2018

The animation team: Marco, Anatascha, Roos, Esther, Jasmijn and José!
Teenagers: Daquillio, Noah and Sitara

The fourth week of the summer vacation was really fun!
Over the weekend, the orange group won over the red-white-blue group with De Boshoek Spelshow. Many games and questions passed by. The easiest one really seemed to be eating chips dressed up, but it was still a difficult job.

The belly slide and singer Dirk made the playing square a great place to spend the Sunday afternoon. Two of us were making balloon animals, all the kids went home with a beautiful creation.

Indian Tippi joined us on Wednesday. Her ancestors of the tribe Adahy (meaning: lives in the forest) lived here before De Boshoek was there. During crafts she transformed the kids into real Indians, the children aged 9 and up learned how to make a bow and arrow and in the afternoon they learned even more Indian things with an Indian hexathlon.
30 children performed in the Indian theater show in the evening. They played along in an exciting story.

The children are enthusiastically participating crafts in the morning, despite the heat. Even the children aged 9 and up show up at the end of the morning to craft something more difficult. What's even more fun for this group is that they can make new friends right away.

Who will surprise us with a visit next week on fairytale day? Let's keep it a secret for a while. We are already looking forward to the puppet theater that evening together with the children. Very curious how that will turn out.

Our teenagers have often played soccer with the kids this week and chilled out in the evening in the youth center.
Despite the free Wi-Fi, they still socialized with each other and played games or played a game of pool. Nice to see!

We are looking forward to next week, a lot of fun things are happening! We have already started Thursday's ghost tour, this is going to be exciting!
